The six Training Videos are the heart and soul of Karate Connection Kenpo.  In presenting the DVDs a belt level at a time, it is our intention to allow the prospective student to see the material and try it for themselves without having to buy an entire set of videos. We could have presented the material a subject at a time. That would have forced the student to purchase several videos in order to see if they wanted to pursue Kenpo or not. This way only one video is necessary. We recommend, of course, that you start at the beginning with the Orange Belt DVD.

The seventh Training Video (Yellow Belt) is dedicated to children under the age of twelve. More time is spent on the basics for the kids. Some instructors choose to require Yellow Belt into the teen years or even for adults. On the other hand, some instructors start children under twelve right out with the Orange Belt adult material, when they feel the child is capable of it. The option is left with the instructor. A comparison of the material required for Yellow Belt and of that required for Orange Belt will give you an idea of how much more time is devoted to each for the kids. The DVDs are both a full two hours in length.

Cost for the Videos

One of our aims in creating the video series was to be able to offer an entire system of Karate at a very affordable price. Instead of teaching by subject and requiring the student to purchase a number of videos just to get started, we teach everything concerning the basics and other material to attain their promotion to Orange Belt on our first DVD. Each DVD thereafter also deals with an entire belt level, with the test for promotion shown at the end.
