Effective February 1, 2012
The creators of the Karate Connection Training Videos, Chuck
Sullivan, Senior Grand Master 10th Degree Black Belt,
and Vic LeRoux, Grand Master 10th Degree Black Belt,
have decided to take action against the video pirates who
illegally copy our material and cut these thieves off at the
ankles by
fighting fire with fire.
The Karate Connection Video Correspondence Training method
didn’t simply create itself, Mr. Sullivan and Mr. LeRoux had
over fifty years of combined training and teaching experience at
the time they created the method. With the permission and
support of their teacher and mentor, Ed Parker, they took two
solid years to breakdown and evaluate all they had learned to
develop and produce a comprehensive course of study that could
be taught by video while retaining the essence and substance of
the Kenpo they had learned,
Over this past twenty-plus years the method and system has
proven themselves time and time again. We currently have over
five hundred students that have trained, tested and been
promoted to 1st Degree Black Belt, most of which who
have taken and passed tests for higher ranks up to and including
10th Degree, Grand Master. These accomplishments have
come because of one reason only, Our system and teaching
methods show results and they work!
Now however, the Karate Connection has encountered a problem
that we intend to deal with by every means possible. It’s the
problem of PIRACY! Recently, people who have neither the talent,
nor the integrity, nor the knowledge to produce such a system of
learning have begun stealing our life’s work by illegally
copying and reproducing our videos. They have, in fact, even
copied and reproduced our DVD covers, thereby adding
counterfeiting to their offences, and are selling what they have
illegally copied as a
used product
to try to make the sale look legitimate.
It’s a lie!
These are not
used DVDs,
they are pirated and illegally copied, and these thieves are
offering them at far less than what we charge; which they can
do because they have no investment of time or effort in the
creation of the system. They are advertising them on various
websites such as Amazon and Ebay, and in some cases, even
designed internet store-fronts to lure in unsuspecting
individuals. These people typically operate by advertising
“used” sets of DVDs and when they sell a set, they state that
the DVDs are
no longer available,
but they never take the advertisement down, and then in a few
days they magically come up with another “used” set to sell.
They have consistently repeated this pattern of behavior.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
THE
KARATE CONNECTION SOLUTION
1. 1.
From February 1st 2012, all DVD’s associated with the
Karate Connection Home Study Course will be assigned individual
Serial Numbers. When those DVDs are purchased, either
individually or as part of a set, the name and address of the
purchaser will be entered into a comprehensive database at
Karate Connection Headquarters tying those serial numbers to
that individual.
2. 2.
If, in the future, the purchaser wishes to sell his or her DVD
to another individual all they need to do is inform us by email
of the sale along with the ne purchaser’s name and address and
we will transfer the associated serial number over to the new
owner.
3. 3.
We know that there are some people who have purchased illegally
copied Karate Connection DVDs from one of these thieves in the
past, not knowing they were pirated. We understand, and in all
fairness we have decided to offer the following exception for a
limited time. Individuals who have unknowingly purchased pirated
Karate Connection DVDs and who desire to participate in the
Karate Connection Correspondence Video Training program, will be
allowed to do so at the regular per-test price. This offer is
only good for six months from February 1, 2012.
4. 4.
After August 1, 2012 all new participants in the Video Training
Program will be assessed an additional $60.00 fee per test
unless they can supply Karate Connection Headquarters with a
valid DVD serial number that is present and assigned in our
database.
We
are committed to pursuing any and all additional methods of
protecting our Intellectual Property and intend to see these
thieves prosecuted and taken down for what they are doing to us
and to the rest of the Martial Arts Community. We are not the
only Martial Artists who have suffered a loss because of this
crime and if you know anything about us at all, you know that
we're fighters, on and off the mats. If it comes to a legal
fight, that's where you'll find us. One arena is as good as the
next to us.

FIGHTING
FIRE
WITH FIRE
Because these thieves have cut the price of our video training
system to where we can’t compete with them we have decided to
cut our prices so as to cut them out of the loop. Whereas they
have no personal investment in our system, we have. We put our
hearts and souls into the creation and the teaching of it and
would rather cut our own prices and continue to be able to serve
those who have no way other than distance learning to avail
themselves of our services. Therefore, The Karate Connection
is going to cut the price of our Video Training System by
OVER FIFTY PERCENT in order to cut the throats
of the LOW LIFE THIEVES who would ruin this for
everyone. You can now purchase the Karate Connection Home Study
System from Beginner to Black Belt for
$125.00
ONE MORE NOTE:
If you have ever thought of learning Kenpo or getting involved
with the Karate Connection and the IKCA, NOW IS THE TIME
because when we have destroyed this rat’s nest of parasites we
will be returning to our regular price structure of $275 for the
complete set of DVD’s.
The regular cost of our system on video, plus the cost of the
individual testing and private lessons returned to each student,
is still the most economical pricing available in the Martial
Arts today.
We’ll be seeing you on video!
